The Cannondale product creation process starts and ends with the rider. In some cases this rider may be a world-class athlete that is capable of topping the world's most prestigious podiums. In other instances the rider is someone who just enjoys pedaling for that morning coffee and bagel. Nonetheless, every detail is scrutinized-because our goal is to exceed expectations, each and every time.
Lastly, our quality dept ensures that we have consistent manufacturing and that every bike that leaves our factory meets the standards that we have set. Bicycles going through the production lines are pre-built, test ridden and we pull bikes off the line for random inspection. We have a 29 point quality assurance check-list that each of our bikes must pass before it leaves the factory. Raw materials are also checked for quality immediately upon arrival into our factory.
Cannondale Carbon Fiber Road Bike Reviews:
"Frame is rock solid, i haven't been the most caring owner and she puts up with everything I can handle. Bike was originally wearing some crap Shimano wheels which I swapped out for Easton Circuits, recently added an ultegra crank. This frame is an unbelievable value, acceleration and handling is incredible from the moment you step on, this thing really flies with the right rider. I'm 180lbs, fork is slice aero carbon which helps dampen the ride slightly but it's still pretty jaring, I'm used to it now but something to consider. I am thinking of a proper tri bike at some point for racing but this is the girl for me right now, at my weight and on the mean NYC streets there's no way I could train on a more delicate bike."

"Second road bike I've owned. Definite upgrade from the R400 in bought in 2003. What a difference! I had thought that faster riding was solely the result of the fact that pros rode on the full Dura-Ace set-up. My ride times improved by 2-3 mph immediately. Very durable for a 275-lb rider although I had to replace the FSA carbon crank (Helen's gave me a DA crank!). I broke a spoke on the rear wheel only once while training for Solvang Century. No other problems."
